Hi all hope someone can help on this, I Broke down this morning ,RAC man came said it sounded like fuel pressure ,anyway got car home and had a look and managed to start it but fuel pump is noisy and the engine sound goes up and down in unison with the pump ,I'm guessing it's the pump or could the relay cause the same problem . If it is fuel pump then which one ?

Itll be underfloor pump being noisey. If intank pumps gone itll cause lack of flow. Best way to check is pull of the feed from the tank and see if it comes with a good flow.

Thanks for your help I've ordered new pumps and filter anyway I'll post the outcome when its done

Be carfull with the housing on the pump. Rediculas to find a second hand one these days and silly money when you do
-
Update on today's progress.Turns out some plonka in the past has cable tied the pump housing /bracket leaving it very loose, so ordered correct mounts . I had a game taking the fuel pipe off the pump though lol and The accumulator is very rusty , should I change it or will it be ok inside ?

If you can get one at a reasonavle price change it. Bit you may find youll be changing the pipes aswell as sometimes the banjos dont play ball
-
The banjos were a pain lol but all off now I poured hot water on them and they came off .........eventually . Accumulators are pricey lol I'll have to send the her indoors out to work
