In stock vehicles too. Blimey that's cheap and I'm almost tempted to bin the R off through the trade and get one of these. I still reckon I'd save money over two years. No tax to pay, free breakdown cover, just insure it and one service to pay for (£165 ish)
These will be snapped up pretty sharply.

Leasing is the future, rather than having £28k tied up in my R bought outright with discount. I do love my R though, it would have to be Clubsport to tempt me as manual Rs and GTIs don't have a resilient clutch to tempt me to use a box to get a GTI up to where i'd want it to be.
-
Looks like I maybe back in a GTI. Submitted paperwork for a DSG yesterday. Hopefully I will hear back today.
Sold my 63 plate S3 last week which was a fantastic car but needed to save a few quid on my monthly outgoings as we have just moved. Had no idea what to replace it with then my Mrs sent me the offer!
Complete bargain. She has GTD on a stupid cheap lease deal at £140pm from that same company. So a GTI & GTD for less than I was paying in total for the S3. Not a bad deal at all. Fingers crossed I have managed to secure one, i will even take a manual if no dsg left. I was told 3-8 weeks for delivery
-
Was going to wait for the facelift but this is ridiculously cheap!
Wouldn't normally choose white but I will cope at this price
-
I've managed to get a DSG on this offer, finance approved and order submitted. 6-8 weeks for delivery. I have been told the offer has been pulled now by CVL. I have seen a few other GTI deals on other lease websites but this appeared to be the best value
-
Had DSG test drives in GTD and GTI cars recently but both times getting back into my manual GTD put a smile on my face = Manual ordered
Mind you the manual was only £230 cheaper so DSG is a bargain price.
Metalic paint worked out at £690 more so left that well alone

When did you send your details in out of interest and how long after did you get acceptance
I sent mine in end of play on Monday and I'm not sure if they're stringing me along. They're not very good at keeping in touch and now I've lost another offer from another company

I sent my docs back Monday evening. Had my finance accepted but was told they were trying to aquire more stock. Then had an email saying I needed to reply ASAP to the order form which I did. I have been on nights so my Mrs rang up and paid the admin fee at 9.30 this morning.
We have used CVL before with the GTD and were really impressed. Apparently they did say they had been really busy so if I were you I would keep ringing/emailing to get an answer!
-
Yes, I've had the whole "really busy" bit but getting irritated now
Congrats to you anyhow.

Are you giving up on the regular CS order or buying the full house of GTi variants?

Yep I think so.
I bought the CS to keep me busy (september delivery) while waiting for the CS-S. Turns out that I still have no build date for the CS so I might chuck it in and get a cheap deal on a GTI
-
That makes sense to me, it was a great deal. I was tempted myself!
-
Just got my SLI/Order number but not live on the tracker yet.
-
Just got mine. It's live on the system and with the factory.... However it's showing a manual not a DSG!
I've rang CVL and they are trying to sort it.
Supplying deal is in Cardiff, same as where the Mrs GTD came from.
-
How did you find out which dealer is supplying your car Darlo?

When I put my number in it said I'm at stage 2 of 7, scrolled down and it named the dealer.
I know this mistake is going to probably mean a longer wait now which is annoying as we are down to one car! Almost tempted to save the money and stick with the manual
-
Rang up again to see if they have managed to change the order to DSG.
Apparently they have had so many orders they have submitted them all as a standard spec. They will then do 'spec amend' to the order?!
My order should be updated in 2-3 working days. So I will check this time next week

Did you get the deal at the advertised price

Oh yes
-
I didn't get the advertised deal
I think they were stringing me a long one
What i did get is 10k pa miles for £120 plus vat. This suits me better as I won't be worried about using it

In many respects that is actually a better deal. Is that manual or DSG?
We have the GTD as the mile muncher so we should be OK to keep gti around the 5k a year. We may stick £20 a month away for the excess miles. We have been putting £35 a month a side for the GTD, however we rang up to enquire about keeping it on for a 3rd year at 10k miles and it's only went up £25pm. So will just pay that for the 3rd year. It won't go above 20k in the 3 years.
May ring up and get GTI put up to 8k/10k if the maths works out
-
In my recent experience with CVL/VWUK the mileage limit (at 5k) is fixed on these cheap deals - until you have had the car six months then they will review it.

Yeah we were contacted 18 months in to her GTD lease. She is on 5k miles a year. They asked for a mileage update. We provided new mileage and they offered to increase payment to cover excess miles we had done. We declined as we had been putting money to one side to cover it. We are probably going to keep it on for a 3rd year and VW provided a quote which was really good value especially when we increased the 3rd year to 10k.
-
Mine is now showing on the tracker as 'with factory'
Provisional BW2 which would mean a Feb delivery. A mile off the original quoted 2-3 week delivery time.
-
How do you know it's bw2 from the tracker?
-

No I went on the website chat and asked what the provisional BW was
-
That it's bad news. I will be cancelling if that's the case. I can survive a few weeks without a car, not months!

Who is your supplying dealer?
-
Who is your supplying dealer?
Inchcape Telford
You might be lucky some orders have a BW as early as 45

Nope I went on the chat like yourself and been told provisional date info second week in 2017. Asked for confirmation that from CVL that they are not expecting it any earlier. I knew it was too good to be true! Order to be cancelled I think
-
Be interested to hear what CVL come back with from your query

May just ring the dealer in Cardiff. It's a complete pain now as I have no car!
-
So provisional build week is 09/01/17. I've emailed CVL who are going to see what they can do. There are some customers who don't want their cars as soon as me so hoping for a swap. Not holding me breath though!
I need a plan b :embarrassed:
-
Checked again just now and mine has jumped from BW2 to BW48 28/11

Why don't you buy something to tide you over?
-
Why don't you buy something to tide you over?
It looks like im going to have to. Its just an inconvenience to buy something when im only having it for a few months. Looking at stuff for under £500  i just hope whatever i buy lasts the winter and i can sell it for a profit ha ha.
-

Thats great news. I did another late last week and its still showing Jan 2017 build
-
I would get on the chat again as quite a few of these have since moved forward a few weeks.
-
Just checked on the VW chat and mine is now confirmed BW48
-
Yes I went on the chat Monday and they have given me a provisional date on BW48.
Do you think it will be delivered before Xmas?!
-
I would say more realistically January
-
So much for the 3-8 delivery :embarrassed:
-
You never know. If it gets built early in the week and magically rolls straight onto a boat you could be in luck.
-
Ha ha I hope so... living with one car is a right pain. Tried to buy a beater but current insurance company won't insure anything under £2k and over 9 years old.... and only pennies back if I cancelled!!
-
Yes, mine just confirmed BW48 which is rubbish since I ordered it 8th Oct. So much for 6-8 weeks
And that VW tracking is useless. My dealer tell me more than that system. My CSS is built and the tracking says its scheduled for build
-
My Gti moved from bw 2 to 45 I think it was. Scheduled for build a 14th November.
-
You never know. If it gets built early in the week and magically rolls straight onto a boat you could be in luck.
Quiet time of the year for car sales (or leases), getting straight onto a ship at Emden could be do-able in December. Might be more likely depending on the location of your supplying dealership - Longest wait usually at Sheerness, but Tyne-bound cars usually get here quicker - lots of car carrier traffic with the Sunderland Nissan plant sending Jukes to the continent.
-
I've just checked and my bw48 car is now showing stage 5... in transit!
Fingers crossed it will be with me before Xmas!
-
No such luck with mine
I think the key thing will be how long you have to wait for a boat.
-
Yeah just been reading up on that.... I hope it's soon! My mums Toyota Aygo doesn't quite suit me
-
My bw45 is still sitting at Emden and has been for 10 days or so.
-
How did you find that out?
-
Tweeted vw uk and asked them.
-
Mine is now built as well and sat outside the factory
-
Now at Emden
Fingers crossed it rolls onto a ship quickly.
Dealer is in Telford so will probably be going into Grimsby I would think.
-
I've just tweeted them and they confirm it is at Emden and awaiting a ship
-
Must be the stock answer for everyone today haha
-
Wow mine is now either on a ship or assigned a ship as the tracker says 10 days to go! That was seriously quick.
Maybe this one:

-
Great news! I've just checked mine and the tracker has changed to say it is on the next stage of its journey, which I hope it means it is on ship!
-

The key is how many days:
4 Weeks = Outside factory
3 Weeks = At Emden waiting for ship
10 Days = Assigned or on a ship

Ahhh thanks for the update... mine is showing 3 weeks! So it's not on a ship yet
Although it went from 4 weeks to 3 weeks in 24 hours so there is still hope!
-
What build week did you guys have? My bw45 is still sitting at Emden and has done for the last 10 days.
-

BW48
Which port is yours due to go to?
My GTD went to Sheerness and spent an age waiting for a ship. This one I suspect is Grimsby bound and rolled straight on
-
Port of Tyne for me. Seems typical vw that a bw48 car arrives before a bw 45!
-
Mine was BW48. Cardiff is my supplying dealer, any ideas which port mine will sail into or could it just be any?
-
My guess would be Sheerness as yours was at the port just before mine and mine I am pretty sure went to Grimsby
-
More progress, finance forms signed and returned after a request from the dealer today.
The email states my vehicle is status 38 and port of exit release whatever that means?! Tracker still says 3 weeks

What was the pence per mile excess on your forms Darlo?
-
It was 8.4 incl VAT on the original form.... these forms say 9p incl VAT. I May ring them tomoz but to be honest it will make little difference to me with the miles I will do
-
All paperwork now approved. Found a cheap train ticket so collecting on Tuesday from the dealer with a full tank
-
I didn't get the 95 quid deal had to settle for 120 with 10k pa
Paperwork has come through and states wrong miles and too much deposit
-
2 Golfs!!
Would be good to here the comparison when you get spare time in the new year...

I've never driven a std GTI, well not since my MK1 so I think the new one will seem a bit slow

Picked mine up yesterday

Looks great mate! Are you pleased with it?
Mine is sat at Sheerness and I suspect it will be new year now.
