xenon/ halogen light would I need a conversion kit if so where is the best place to get one.

If you want to fit Xenon you will need Xenon headlights, headlight washers and self levelling controller.

Not for the UK -
for he MOT it is only "if fitted" that the levelling and washer system must work.
If they are not fitted they can not be tested, so wont fail.

Please don't fit Xenon in a normal reflector headlight as the beam pattern will be pants and you will be dazzling drivers coming in the opposite direction.
Best to either fit proper Xenon lights or convert projector lights.
