Right with my Golf fast approaching it's third birthday, it's warranty is due to be up. With that ive decided to be a bit more hands on and service my own car (apart from major things like belts etc). When I had a Clio in the service book it explained what happened at each service.
I've looked and looked, even searched this forum, but seemingly can't find a list anywhere of what each service entails. I'm assuming that most of them are just an oil, filter and cabin filter change but can anyone please provide a list of what should be done when?

I've had no luck with finding any concrete information but it appears that every service is simply and oil and filters chanfe. With a brake fluid change being undertook at 3 years.
Apparently our cars are now fitted with cambelts that are designed to last the life of the vehicle and don't need to be changed until 180,000 miles.
I believe it's incredibly easy to change the oil filter on our engines so it should be happy days!

No way I'd leave any belt for 180,000 miles no matter what the manufacturer says. It should get a visual inspection anyway at every service.

I'm sure our cars have chains Rather than belts 😀

I believe both Mcmaddy and KyleB have a mk7 GTD and the GTD has a cambelt rather than a chain.
