Title: What's a really good body kit for a MK3 GTI?
Post by: general_piffle on 10 August 2016, 08:48
I'm tired of the faded black trim on top of the bumpers and scuff strips around the car (5 door).

Was thinking a well made, subtle (not into really showy stuff) but stylish body kit with front and rear bumpers and strips could be the way forward. Something I can get sprayed to match the rest of the car. Must be well made and fit well though.

Any ideas? Does anything like that exist?! All ideas or pointers appreciated. Cheers.

Good idea but the black areas have that slightly rough texture, might look a bit odd.

A few people have done it. Once you sand the plastic the textured bit can be smoothed out

Eventually I've decided to keep the black trim but go for a cleaner Euro look elsewhere. The project continues. Off to the engineer this coming weekend. Thanks.
