Title: front suspension
Post by: crazydog on 30 July 2016, 17:47

Hi guys just bought a pair of koni str/t front struts for my mk4 1.8t look nice fitting them next week, the only odd thing to me is atype of bracket with a slight hook on it attached to the tube near the bottom, this only leaves about 2cm to go into the clamp on the hub, does this need to be cut off,the pictures on the internet for the mk4 all seem to vary.any ideas welcome the part no.on them is 8750 1002.

That goes into the slit in the back of the hub and then the bolt goes through.

The pinch bolt for the clamp has to go through the tab, its to make sure the strut is fully inserted
