before I go tearing the car aprt, it seems logical to ask a few questions here first.
Can just start to hear the familiar whump, whump, whump of a wheel bearing. Disappears on corners and comes back in the straight ahead position.
Am I correct to say its most likely to be a rear wheel bearing?
I've checked tightness of the front self locking nuts and they are up tight. They were torqued correctly about 2 years ago when one of the half shafts were replaced and both front shocks replaced.
Has anyone developed a method for test driving and/or inspection to determine which wheel it is? I cannot tell by the noise while driving where its coming from - just that its there.

Jack car up and spin wheels individually if you cannot locate while driving.
Does it go away when you drive through left or right corners? Get any better if you apply brakes?
