Title: GTI MK4 - Strong fuel smell
Post by: Ian1985 on 15 July 2016, 10:34
Hi all.

I noticed recently that my 2.0L GTI MK4 seems to have a strong smell of fuel coming from the exhaust. Smoke out the back is slightly black aswell.

Any ideas as to what may be causing this?

Thanks in advance.

scan it with VAGCOM and it will also tell you which lambda (front or back) back doesn't really do much except protect the standard cat from damage, front one compensates for fueling etc
