Would anyone have the part numbers for the lower engine cover that has been omitted from the 2016 model R's (and and any other parts required to fit it)
Many thanks
-
I believe the GTI cover is the same if anyone has ETKA ?
Also needs 3 ball type screws according to an aftermarket kit.
I can believe they didn't fit this as standard!
-
Ordered from the Dealers today, ill post part numbers when it arrives, I'm sure all the R owners and GTI owners from 2015 onwards want this 'missing' part!
-
Part numbers and price if possible please

That's the one!

They stopped fitting this due to several reported incidents where it came loose on the move and damaged radiators / rad fans.

Need to replace mine to be honest as I've snapped the prong that goes into the manifold.

Joe searched a few forums on this and the consensus seems to be removed along with some underbody trim parts to save money.
Not read anything on the safety side, was this a VW update or bulletin?

Parts in and fitted so now as above pictures.
Part numbers exactly the same also.
I feel a little more complete now!

Glad to hear you got it sorted. I'm now changing/upgrading the jacking point.
-
I did that on my last 2 golfs, as it's only on jacks rarely I don't think I'll do it on his one.
Interested in a few of the underbody trims now.
-
Any idea what/which underbody trim is different?

With my Mk6 I fitted the under tray and tank shield from the Blue motion Golf. The under tray was longer and subjectively the car was quieter and I seemed to get the odd extra mpg.

My 2014 model has this part "missing"! :(

Takes about 1 minute to fit, one screw fitting then clips in.
