Title: Mk2 Gti rear disc removal
Post by: Gaved on 21 June 2016, 14:43
Hey all

Currently in the process of removing and replacing brake discs and pads all round. On the tears it looks like my 8mm hex bolts have rounded and seized...I can't get my discs off now yay. Anyone know any methods to get round it or am I going to have to blow torch or hammer over a socket onto it?

Thanks

Gavin

See if a torque will go in.
Failing that its a socket over the top job

Irwin bolt extractors usually do the trick for me, yet to come across a bolt I can't free with them.
