Evening folks, just wanted to get everyone's opinion on this one . My drivers seat base bolster seems to be failing, been finding bits of foam under the seat and now the bolster is beginning to break and I can feel the metal underneath ,
Just wanted to see if any one had any problem like this before ?

Not on a MK7, but had the side bolster underwiring fail on a MK5. This could be one of those contentious warranty claims - the dealership could claim you're wrecking it getting in and out. If that happens then try another dealership group, some are really risk averse when it comes to doing work they fear that VW won't reimburse them for. Foam falling under the seat from the underside sounds highly unusual, sounds like a manufacturing defect to me.

I'd get them to look at it first, so it can be done at the same time as the service. That way, if they refuse warranty you've got a bit of a lever in that you could threaten to find another dealer to help resolve the issue and get your service done there too.

+1 on that, this is an unfortunate issue but an opportunity to see how good your dealer is, so if they do the decent thing they can have your servicing business.
