i got lucky with mine, just laquared it coz my cars black!
shouldnt imagine it costin too much but id defo go for de-badged!
-
cool  i think i just might

Debadged looks loads better, but dont forget you will have to have the bonnet and bumper filled where the badge indents into them tho :undecided:
-
does anyone know how much roughly to get this mod done??
-
De-badged without a doubt. However.......have you considered a compromise? You have a dark car, save the expense of filling and painting etc and have a trial with a black badge. I have seen a few Mk IV's in different colours with black badges and they all look spot on, inlcuding the dark cars. My mota is black and I should recieve the black badge in the next few days - ebay £8.00! I'll update the photo in my signature once it's on.
-
definately debadged, since I seen your pic edit I think I will treat myself to one also, to have it painted should cost around 30/40 quidish I would imagine

here u go

ive refiited my standard grill again, and done me own badge black, looks ok, i did fit me badgeless one, but the quality of the grill wasnt up to much and you have to bear in mind to get the recess gaps sorted where the old vw emblem used to go will mean as well as having your grill painted, you ll need your bumper and bonnet painting too!! so what you think of a cheap job turns out to be quite expensive!!

I was thinking of having a badgeless grille, as I think it makes the car look 'meaner'.
I need to save some pennies though, because I'd want the bonnet filled where the badge goes!

simple yet effective

Why not go down the line of something like this

with a black badge on of course!
definately thinkin of gettin one.
