Hey my gear box is gone does it matter what box I put on as long as it's patrol and 5 speed

As long as its off the same litre car doesnt matter. And same platform of car ie a3, golf, leon

So would a box out of a Audi A3 1.8t 2002 5 speed fit my golf mk4 1.8t 2000 reg

Yes it should. Have you located a box, ive got a Aum engine sat on the workshop floor with a box. Dont know the condition, but I could check if you want
