Hello fellow members
Unfortunate news, my car has been stolen.
Stolen from Barnet, North London. Current plate is YG59 TTF and it had my private plate in the boot B6 ENR.
I had put it up for sale, two posers came, viewed the car, came into my house to look at the paperwork and somehow managed to swap my second key for a dummy VW key. We 'agreed' on a price and they left saying they're just going to do an HPI check and transfer a deposit. Half an hour later, looking out the window I notice she's gone :(
in state of absolute shock that these people go through all of these measures for a 12k car. Police and insurer have been informed.

Omg! That is crazy. I hope you get car back and everything is ok
Most important thing is that you are ok...

'Luckily' at least it was not taken in middle of night and you being threatened at gun point for keys.
Hope your insurance will sort this for your quickly and with no pain! Will keep eye out for the plate.....

Yeah started to wonder if they would have assaulted if they couldn't find a way to swap keys, or come in the middle of the night as you say.

That really sucks, they are scum.
What colour is it? How many doors? Alloys? LEDs? Etc. Will keep an eye out.

Unfortunately it's like the car has disappeared off the planet. Police haven't been very helpful and said it hasn't flashed on any ANPR systems. I said to them I'd like to see the nearby cctv footage to recognise them but they said none of them show two people driving off in that car (even if I recognise the faces, apparently that's not enough cause the crime they commit won't be on camera ??) I guess they were very skilful and stripped the car in a nearby garage or changed the plates.
I didn't want the car back but was hoping those scums would be caught.
On the bright side insurance company were very smooth to deal with, and the car has been written off and been paid a sum for it (more than trade price which is a result)
