Title: Alarm goes off when opening passenger door. MK4 GTI 2.0l

Hi all.

Got an issue I'm hoping you may be able to shed some light on.

I can only open my car via the key in the door. Central locking works fine two twists and the passenger door opens.

Problem arises when someone then opens it. Even if I open the driver door first and press the door open switch inside the car it still goes off. Only way I get round it is by putting the key in the ignition and turning it to the stop before the ignition start. But then the hazard lights come on.

Any help greatly appreciated.

The outer micro switch in the door lock is gone. Can be replaced individually if you don't mind a bit of DIY.
Whole door needs to be dismantled to get to the lock.
