Question, if this has PP, shouldn't it have a button for DCC to the right of the gear stick?

No GTI has DCC as standard. But that one actually does have it. It's the "MODE" button to the top left...
It is a PP. The front brake calipers...
-
Ah ok, many thanks!
-
Yeah as Joe says if it has the bigger brakes with GTI on them it has the PP. Red badges are another sign. Standard GTI gets silver badges and no GTI on the brake calipers.

The mode button doesn't indicate it has DCC.

I have a 2013 PP with silver GTI badges- they changed to red as standard some time in 2014 i believe.
Regardless the PP should be in the paperwork somewhere either as an option code or in the description of the car.
Mine was sold as a 'Golf GTI Performance' model.

I considered "updating" to the red badges on my '13 PP.
When I realised this was likely to cost £50 for the pair, I quickly lost interest! :)
-
If you think £50 for the red GTI badges is ridiculous, When I had a Civic Type many moons ago, Honda were charging over £150 for two 'Type-R' stickers and a single badge for the grill. This was almost 10 years ago now. Would hate to think how much that would cost now.

I actually prefer the silver on the black.
Appreciate there might be a few badge snobs about but not my thing.

Oh you are right. I was thinking of Irish spec. In Ireland the R comes with Driver profile select, which gives you that mode button without the suspension settings option. Irish GTI's don't have this at all. Of course I forgot, I think UK GTI's do get the mode button regardless? In used Irish GTI's though if you see the mode button 9/10 it has DCC.
The aforementioned red badges on the grill and tail are very easily retrofitted to a non PP. But again it'd be rare. Few would bother.

UK GTI's all have the mode button

Thanks all!
I noticed that the Co2 is 148 g/km on standard car and 149 g/km on PP for a DSG, so good way to double check with DVLA!

I don't think this one does have DCC after all!

It's far from a 'must have' option, especially with 18'' wheels, so I wouldn't worry about it unduly
-
Mine's on 19s without DCC and it's very good. PP is good to have though, you'll never regret having great brakes!
-
I agree, also on 19's and amazed by how comfy the ride is! Also no dcc.

It was a must for me, I run 18" wheels and the comfort mode setting is sublime, I proberbly have it in that 75% of the time - as we all know options are very subjective, everyone has there own preferences
