Hey folks
I've bought a new dizzy for my mk2 as one of the clips is broken on mine. I've had a search for a guide but cant see anything. Can anyone lend any words of wisdom or point me in the right direction?
Cheers
Kev

If its just the cap. Mark the leads with tipex and mark the new cap and old cap in one place. Remove leads. Change dizzy put leads back on.
If its dizzy its self do the above plus mark with tipex two points where the dizzy sits in the head for refferance and undo the bolts. Ten mm I think and replace the dizzy

Does anybody have the part number for a Bosch distributor for a 1991 8v PB digifant engine and a recommendation as to best place to buy ?

Laat dizzy I bought was from tps in Cheltenham. Had to exchange old one but they went off the engine code as my car wasnt originally a 16v.
Ide try them first mate, dont know if they have tps in Bristol. Failing that I use apd as there staff actually know what there on about unlike euro in my experience

TPS are in Bristol and I have a well used account with them - but unfortunately , as with many Golf Mk2 parts, the distributor 'was no longer available from VW since July 2015' - so they told me lats week!
In the end, GSF got me one, which I will be fitting soon.
For future reference and those who may be interested: (PB Engine, 8v, Digifant, 1991 model year)
The part numbers on the GSF one (Genuine Bosch, including cap, rotor arm, and hall sender) are:
0 237 520 044
On cap 0 986 237 638
and GSF part number is 920 VG 0110
It came in at just over £100 plus VAT plus a £40 surcharge which is refunded at any time in future (no time limit) when the old one is returned.
