A family member wants to buy my GTD, for a good price. Pretty sure with the way VW values are going, I'm going to take them up on the offer and get something new.
A friend took me out in his M135i on Friday, and wow... That thing shifted. Thinking that might be a good next step.
What would you get?
-
M235i if it was my choice. Better looking than the M135i but just note that BMW are due to launch the M140i in July
-
I won't be buying new, probably a year, two years old at most.
-
The 2 Series does look nice, but used prices are about 10k more

I would 100% swap for an M135i if I could. That engine is a masterpiece, it's so creamy too. Make sure you go for one with Adaptive Suspension as it makes a big difference. Was only a £500 option new and a good number of used motors have it.
If you can pick up a facelift car, you get a slightly revised interior and LED headlights and business navigation as standard.
When I change my GTI in around another year's time, I'll be looking at going the same way, or possibly up to the M240i which is what it will be by then.

Well, the time has come.
My GTD heads off to its new owner next week, and in its place will sit a 330d M Sport touring. It's used approved, with a few tasty options including the 19" wheels.
Wife still has a Mk7 1.6, so I'll still stick my head in, but my GT days are sadly done.

Don't forget to post some details and pictures when you get your new car! Always good to get a look at something different.

Will do :)
