Title: Got offer to swap mk3 1.6 for mk4 100 tdi

Not really sure what to do...never owned a mk4....it has 175k while my 1.6 has 50k...will need belts found according to owner...any thoughts??

Why would someone want to swap for an older car?

People usually want to change cars for a reason ;)

Yeah I was wondering that too...said he had a mk3 in the past and wants another one...but I think you are right...I believe there are a probably a lot more things.to.go.wrong with his swap...why anyone would swap a mk4 diesel for an older petrol ?
