Random one. I have noticed these last few days the temp on the climate control seems to be incorrect. For example - I drive under a wide bridge, probably 30 ft wide, naturally in an R you want to hear the noise....so the windows go down. Normally I can put the heaters on 24-25 and i get a good hit of warm air to balance out the cold from the windows. Today I was driving with the windows up, with the temp on 24-25 and the air was cold. - it was set to manual mode not auto, although the temp outside was warmer than normal 17-18 and I had to turn it up to 27 to get any heat at all.
Any ideas?

I struggle getting mine to work in a logical fashion, the system in my Audi was much better, 21-22c with the aircon on permanently was warm and comfy with no misting up ever. The VW system has to be on 23-24c and often it's not that warm, I often feel cold in the car, never did in the Audi plus the VW can mist up easily and at times unexpectedly. I suppose it's a case of getting used to it and adjusting, nothing to get 'ahem' hot under the collar about...

What is your Air con set to... Strong or Light? This can have an effect on the final overall temp of the climate control.

Brenbo, mine is set to medium (I'm mostly a middle of the road, undecided kind of person). Would light be better then? Although with the forecast showing 23c and sun this weekend perhaps I'll need strong instead!

I must admit mine is mostly in auto, but i find it somewhat illogical that I have to intervene at times to demist the car (partly due to the fan speed being on like 1 because the car is satisfied with cabin temp).
My mate never touches a button in his A5 cabby and that works a treat all the while.

Exactly how my A4 was and my VW is. How can they work so differently, they must share components?
