Title: Rns 510 upgrade question

Hi everyone

Firstly gotta say I'm running a mk5 Jetta but my question should be relevant.

Anyway have done my rns 510 upgrade with the upgraded canbus and since have lost my rear defroster? Press the button and straight away light goes out on button! It worked 30 mins before the upgrade

Does anyone know if this is a option that can be enabled/disabled from the canbus? Via vagcom?

If it is a option via vag anyone around Tamworth area that can help? As I don't have vag :(

Had a similar problem when a new CECM was installed although the long coding was copied from the old one the boxes for the heated seats and the air con were not ticked, they still worked. The rear screen demister which was ticked didn't
When you pressed the switch it lit and the info came up on the RNS510 then went off! sound similar problem. Just ticked the heated seats,air con and low and behold the rear screen was happy!
