Happy Easter all
Have mentioned before that the gti got stolen after a break in about six weeks ago and was replaced, like for like, about three weeks ago. I had the alloy wheel, tyre and minor scratch cover (looking back I was daft to take it out but you live and learn). Anyway, the companies offering the cover refused, point blank, to either move the cover over or refund. They said it was non transferable, as did the Smith Knight Fay salesman when I asked his opinion. I was also told that the service plan I took out was not transferable as this was with Smith Knight Fay, not VW.
After a difficult time after the break in I was just about to give up on this but thought "sod this". No reason for not being able to transfer it. Anyway, got VWUK involved, kept on badgering the sales and business manager, emailed VW finance incessantly and basically refused to go away. Hey presto, after a lot of going back and forth I have a new service plan for the new car and all the rest have been transferred over.

Good result, glad you got it sorted.

Amazing result - perseverance is the only way :)

Good for you for not giving up on this. Proof persistence can really pay off. Making a nuisance of yourself can be very effective, lol.
Glad to hear you've got everything transferred over and a positive outcome after your car theft woes. Onwards and upwards as they say.

Result.
The motor trade just gives itself a bad name most of the time. I feel sorry for those going in with a sense of honesty as that will probably be soon knocked out them.
