Just joined up as we bough the mrs a Mk7 Gti with PP last year.
Really liking car  when I'm allowed to drive it
First question....
Car runs on 19 in wheels - looking forwards to next winter I would like to re-use the winter tyres we took off Mazda 3 she had.
Wheel fitment is different but tyre size is listed on the tyre pressure sticker on door pillar (205/50/17)
Anyone use this size over winter ? any pics with 17's fitted ?
Presume they fir over the PP calipers OK ?
Re-using means I can take tyres of her Mazda wheels and just sell them as nice black alloys.
Cheers

I am currently running winters on 17inch rims on my R, I bought them for and ran them on my GTIpp before trading for the R so you will be fine.
I suggest you buy genuine VAG wheels or a quality German TUV marked make of wheels for your winters, some of the Far East reps available on Ebay may be to thick to clear the calipers, they are also likely to be much heavier and softer so liable to damage easier than quality wheels. Do get wheels with a similar offset to standard - around 49mm.
I have these -

I am reverting to summer tyres this weekend.
