Title: Looking at a new mk7 GT
Post by: vinny19791 on 06 March 2016, 19:01
Evening all

Looking at a new golf GT 150 tsi

Does anyone have any advice for me?

I'm considering going for leather due to the kids, park assist (Mrs) and anything else people would consider worthwhile

I'm not going for a gti or a match so kinda settled on the Gt model.

I'm unsure on the standard spec of these cars and real world fuel economy.

Does the model come with xenon lights and any other decent features?  I've read about the cruise control stuff isn't it active safety ?

I'm out of touch with golfs, had a mk2,3 and 4 but been off the brand for 4 years or so.

But times have changed

Also considering a lease deal my company is offering

Cruise control excellent, especially with acc.

Are you going lease or PCP?

Not sure what comes standard on the GT.
I think its the match that gets the most extras as standard.
If you configure one you will see whats standard and whats an extra

For real world fuel economy have a look at fuelly.com

Do you just not fancy the GTI as you might actually be cheaper getting that model.

I know when I was changing cars I looked at the diesel GT and the GTD worked out cheaper and came with a lot more standard features.

If I go lease I can get an all in deal with everything except fuel for £320 a month all in, if I want leather seats, park assist and a few other bits it's just under £400, give or take.

2-4 year deal, a named driver and 10k annum.  Option to buy at end based on market value.

I think list is 26k with all the extras I would like.

I'm easy though whether petrol or diesel.

It wouldn't be the main car either so could maybe reduce mileage to save a few £

Many thanks for the prompt responses

Oh to add it's the GT edition ACT
