hi guys, engine management light came on,still came on next day,so ran scanner through and came up with 00532 which relates to supply voltage b+ also 18010 which relates to power supply b+ terminal 30 low voltage. any ideas and which is terminal 30 cheers all ideas appreciated   crazy dog

Have you disconnected the battery at some point. On searching also could mean power supply to a component.

18010     P1602
  This error code is "Manufacturer Specific" (for each car maker a different description and meaning). The following description / symptoms / causes / solutions specific to VAG cars.
nl   Supply voltage terminal 30: voltage too low
du   Power supply, Klemme 30     Spannung zu klein
and   Power Supply Terminal 30     Voltage Too Low

Possible symptoms:
Loss of function (in a place not to predict)
Possible causes:
The cables from the battery, there have been off (indeed, you get such an error)
The battery has a low voltage
The alternator is bad
Possible solutions:
Check the cables from the battery
Check (measuring blocks) / replace battery
Check / replace the alternator

thanks, battery new last sept.alt.giving 14v+ at meter connections tight and clean.disconnecting battery for an hour or so start up light goes out comes back on three/four days later,ican do this again same result,car runs perfect can't detect any running faults.by the way its gti 18t mk4 chipped 3 not recent been done for acouple of years no probs. thanks for all ideas will check.   crazy horse.
