My lovely Gti, which was stolen 3 weeks ago, has been replaced. Exactly the same apart from the fact this one has a performance pack. Brilliant service from aviva and replacement cars. Gettin!!!!

Thanks guys. Yesterday I got a bus and a train to a work meeting...today I stuck spotify on, put the air con on to 22.5 and just sailed home! Really makes you appreciate what you have. Bloody love my gti. No way some horrible thieves were going to stop me having a lovely car. Got the gap insurance through a company recommended on here too.

What was the experience of making the GAP claim like? Presuming you used it?

Ala indeed. Seemed excellent when i ordered it yesterday and really reasonable.

Didn't have to use the original gap insurance-which i had with VW itself-as Aviva agreed to get me a like-for-like replacement car. Was quite tricky as it was looking at a 4 month wait for a new car, but my original dealer said they had one, with the performance pack, which i could have if I paid £500. I had no courtesy car, so was glad to pay!

Dealt with a company who Aviva use called replacement vehicles, who were absolutely wonderful. Bizarrely, I need to go back on Saturday as the new gti has a panel missing in the footwell of the passenger side-I was a bit too giddy picking it up and should have given it a much more thorough look, but phoned them today and said to bring it in.

Drove home and just realised what an immense car I have. :smiley:
