Hi mate welcome along.
Yeah mine has been back at the dealers twice to have it fixed. In fact its going back tomorrow for that and a few other things.
When I first told them about it, they attempted to fix it but it never worked so they had a technician come out with me. However when I told them it happens most of the time above 50mph they said their technicians weren't allowed to go and test drive cars above that speed!!!!!
It actually looks like my door doesn't sit right by a couple of mm so maybe that's the problem. When I hear it I automatically think the window is down slightly and try and put it up but its never down.
I'd actually got used it and because its only really bad every now and then I was going to just forget about it but after the recent high winds and then my other warranty faults I thought feck it they can try again.
My plan for today is to get one of the kids to stand outside with a hairdryer and see if I can replicate the problem whilst stationary. I do get that sometimes but obviously 1. The wind needs to be blowing and 2. In the right direction and I can just see when I take the car down to the dealer its the calmest of days

You'd need an industrial sized blower to replicate wind noise at speeds of 50mph+, the output of a hairdryer will be like comparing a fart to a hurricane.

You made me doubt it would work so I've had a dig around and you obviously don't know your haidryers
80mph from "Sedu Revolution TGR 4000i Hair Dryer" http://www.hairstylinggirl.com/best-hair-dryer/
Given I have 2 girls and a wife all with numerous hairdryers I'm sure I'll find something
Plus it happens when stationary and not a great deal of wind. It must just be the angle it hits at.

A hairdryer is something I don't personally need, my head hair is about 1mm long all round.
I'm sure it'll be the tiniest of gaps - I take it you don't get any rain coming in?
-
No. No rain comes in. In fact I don't even get those annoying occasional drips the way the Mk6 used to do
-
What's a hairdryer
-
I hear you on the wind noise! It sounds like the window is slightly down, but its not.
I haven't tried to get the dealer to look at it yet though.
