Title: headlight bulb upgrade

My car is an 05 plate so before Xenon

Recommendations please!

Are there Xenon upgrades or just best to get best bulbs? (H7?)

You can buy 2nd hand OEM xenons and fit them but I believe you may need the required modules

Easiest and cheapest solution is a set of tidy H7 bulbs

Oh and your car isn't 'before xenon'......it just means the first owner was too much of a skinflint to spec the xenons  :cry:

You can get used Xenon headlights for circa £300 and other than removing the bumper are dead easy to install. I've fitted 4-5 sets and got it down to about 3 hours including coffee and coding  :grin:
