Title: oil pressure fun.
Post by: rupture on 01 February 2016, 19:44
I just had the mot done on my dub. Gave it a 25 mile run and the infamous oil pressure warning popped up just before pulling on the drive. Turned off the engine and restarted it and the warning went. Left it for 20mins took it for a run and nothing popped up. Is it just a glitch on the sensor? Any ideas peeps??

Narrowing it down to model and engine might help

Changed the oil pick up in the sump recently??

If its a dodgy sensor then a scan should reveal if its on its way out......

Had a full service 6 months ago and gets checked and topped up (if needed) every 2 months with quantum platinum. I'll see if anything flags up on a test. I look after it and give it all the love and attention it needs so hopefully it's just a sensor. It wouldn't be the first sensor that's gone tits up 😉
