Title: front brake discs

looking on euro car parts for some front brake discs, how do I know i'm ordering the right ones, some are 256mm diameter some are 288mm diameter  :sad: does it even matter lol ??? thanks

288mm are standard on the mk4 GTI's with the exception of the anniversary's and some (if not all?) of the derv models and 4motion which have 312mm discs fitted.

It is common for people to do the upgrade from 288 to 312 so the only real way to check is to measure them?

Look at equipment codes in the boot.....
