Title: Price increase

Seems like the GTD has had a price increase of £325


I ordered a GTD last Thursday and I included the rear view camera and I emailed the dealer asking if I can change it to the park pack, for an extra £85 I thought I might as well, he's just got back to me saying as the golf has increased in price if I change my order Volkswagen will reconfigure it at the new price and it will be £410 extra, I politely declined, it's my own fault, I should have chose it in the 1st place

That sounds pretty cheeky to me from your dealer. After all, you are amending an existing order, not re-ordering. Unless they haven't actually placed the order with the factory yet, but that doesn't really make sense either.

I had previously heard of people trying to add things to an order and being told that prices had changed and if they wanted to amend an order then the new prices would apply. My dealer says its VW who will up the cost, he said its out of the dealers hands.
