Post by: 15 inches on 23 October 2003, 17:24
THOUGHT I POSTED THIS THE OTHER DAY!
Can anyone recomend a good product for clean ing the engine block.I regularly jet the engine but cant seem to rid it of years of grim.Any ideas please.
Also is chroming an original twin exhaust going to be costly?

cheers

Don't know about chrome, but Gunk gets my engine clean. Just spray it on leave it a few mins then use the jet wash on it.

It gets everywhere.

Cheers for that.I used to drive concrete mixers and we used 'acid' to clean back all the cocrete stuck to the rear of the truck. It was a green looking mess and stunk something rotten, but cleaned aliminium up a treat.
I allways wondered how these mag featured vx'engine bays look like new????
