Title: Upgrading to ABF requirements
Post by: Torquegirl16v on 21 January 2016, 21:58
Hi,

I currently have a mk2 gti 16v running on R1 bike carbs but am looking to change the KR for an ABF and also go back to electronic fuel injection.

I have sourced an ABF engine which comes with ecu but no loom.

I am guessing I will need my loom modifying but can anyone advise what else would be involved in the conversion and also a rough idea of price for the loom mod.

Thanks, Faye

You ca't just modify your loom to work with the ABF EFI.

You'll need the full ABF loom, ecu and immbiliser set up (if 96-) to make it function.
