As topic collect it on Saturday. Leon was ok, but it just wasn't a Golf!

Congrats. They really are a great all-rounder - enough performance for 90% of the time, smart looking, well equipped, very comfortable and 45+mpg to boot.
-
Cheers. Removed the Superchips map from the leon with the Bluefin. Spoke to the guys yesterday and will reset it and upload the map for the GTD.
The golf just looks that much better. I've already got a wish list

Congratulations 'Ave'!
Seconded what Sootchucker says but when Ave puts Bluefin on it'll have enough performance for 101% of situations!
The Leon is a great car but...

The Leon is a great car but...
That's just what I thought when I went from a Mk4 GTI to a Leon Cupra in 2002.

If you concentrate carefully, it felt "just LIKE a golf".

To be fair, most Leon Cupra owners would have been very relieved if their car DIDN'T feel like a mk4 golf gti!

I did something along the same lines back then and had a (year and a bit old) Leon Cupra on a 51 plate.
Chipped it, changed the wheels and it was a great car.
The mk4 Golf GTI I had was a bit of a disappointing car. GTI was just a base model with a bit more powerful engine in a mk4.
In 2005 the tables went back the other way although it was a few years after that until I could afford even a second hand mk5 GTI. Mind you I filled some of that time with a (second hand) slightly disappointing mk5 GT TDI (inevitably remapped and different wheels!)
Ive spent a bit of time in a latest generation Cupra which is a very good car but...

Yeh Leon a good car it was the SC model and sometimes when you looked at it, it just didn't look in proportion. I fitted a roof spoiler which helped, but missed the MK6 Golf i had.
Bought one of those metal Revo badges off ebay. Thats got to be worth at least 2bhp!!!

Collected it this morning  https://www.facebook.com/lawriesgarage

Well done, you got it in the best colour!
I almost bought a Leon FR a couple of years ago but somehow ended up with a Mk5 Golf GTI, stuck to VWs since then
-
Definitely the best colour - red stands out in the winter grey!
