just had telephone call today the car is built week 9 end of feb am I right in thinking the 2016 gti is built in mexico , also how many Bluetooth phones can be paired  cheers again

 No it's built in Germany.
USA cars are built in Mexico

Thats 2 phones active at the same time. You can pair quite a few phones to the car.

Thats one thing i liked about my Mercedes was that you could have two phones connected at the same time. It was the only thing i liked.
