Title: Rear windscreen de-mister
Post by: ronnie3585 on 16 January 2016, 18:32
Hi all

After almost two months of very happy GTi ownership there's one snag that I'd like to get sorted.

The rear de-mister is next to useless. I drove with it on for over 40 mins today and it only cleared about 50% of the rear windscreen. It seems like it could do with a a lot more power. My old Focus would shift the heaviest of mist in less than 10.

I'm trying to figure out whether it's an actual fault or just a bad design that everyone suffers with. So, I'd be grateful to hear what peoples' experiences with this are?

Thanks!

Hi Ronnie!

I have a 61 plate GTI, my drive to work is just 5 mins and the rear de-mister clears the back window by the time I arrive. 40 mins seems very long!

Cheers! The car is still under Das Welt Auto warranty, so I'll talk to the main dealer about having it fixed.
