Title: Washer jets not working :-(
Post by: maxmc2 on 15 January 2016, 14:38
Me again.

Latest on the list to go are the washer jets.

Initially i suspected the pump so being on a few pound i changed it, guess what, doesn't work.

Ive checked the fuse but its on the same one as the wipers which work so im a bit stuck.

What should i check next and how?

TIA

Can you hear the pump?

Do only front not work or back as well?

Do you have a multimeter? If not buy one.

Washer pump is switched from stalk.
See if you get voltage to pump (as suggested with a multimeter).

Not frozen as pump works if I put a charge to it, problem is I'm not getting an voltage down the line, checked the fuse and all fine, is there a relay for this or could it be the stalk itself? Thanks

Check the stalk and it's wiring to the CE (connector H/H1). Wires from stalk to CE are green-red and green-black. From CE (plug C) it goes to pump with green-red and brown-blue. It switches polarity depending on whether you want to spray front or back.

See A2 resources CE2 diagram below (mind you wire colours are not 100% correct for the mk3 on there).
