Title: GTI weight vs TDI (driver gear springs aka vw sport springs)
Post by: Dipesh2031 on 11 January 2016, 11:12
Hi,

In the process of getting some of those infamous (in usa) "driver gear springs" aka sport springs made for vw by eibach,

There is 4 variants:

5K4071677B 5dr DSG
5K4071677A 5dr Manual

5K3071677A 3dr manual
5K3071677B 3dr DSG

I would like to know the weights of the mk6 gti in comparison to the tdi? my gti is a 3 door DSG so I'll be looking at the 5K3071677B springs.

I have VWR springs also, which I might return as £220 for springs Vs £85 for these VW ones (both eibach & both blue)

Read here, I've got them on mine and found the weights to be near enough the same!

Seem to be spot on to be honest!

Feel the bumps a bit more, but it's not too noticeable
