Title: Looking to remove Gtechniq C4 Trim restorer - any ideas ?
Post by: Sootchucker on 04 January 2016, 13:04
HI guys, I'm looking for some advice over removing the Gtechniq C4 Permanent Trim restorer.

I applied this to my GTD when new, but just over 2 years on, it's lost it's lustre and it starting to peel off in places (especially the front honeycombed grills), and I would like to strip it all back if possible ?

Not sure the picture below shows it that clearly but here goes ?

IPA might do it or a strong APC mix?

As above.  Try IPA.

Bemused as to you using it on brand new factory fresh trim.  I've used C4 on trim on previous car, but used it after 2 years to 'restore' faded trim, which it did very well. That's the idea isn't it, lol.

 So many things seem like a good idea at the time, lol.

Now would be about the time you want to be using it.   Still, your trim should've been well protected by it I expect.
