Title: Dash cams? What do you use and whats best?
Post by: chris1h on 01 January 2016, 12:06
A family member has been using the Trancsent DrivePro 100 for the past couple of months... It seems a decent buy so I decided to go out and get one. At £64 it isn't a massive break the bank and could help massively in the case of a accident.

1) where do you fix your dash cams? It seems the ideal place would be on the dotted black mesh in the middle of the windscreen, right behidn the mirror, high up but unfortunately the suction mount doesn't stick there. Anyone had this problem? and which way have yous got around this? It seems there are adhesive mounts which can be purchased as extras. Would these work or fall off too if placed on that mesh? anyone use them?

2) I find placing it slightly further down (on the normal window) below the black mesh sun blocker in middle of windscreens makes the camera really stick out and for the passengers view inst the best!

I'm trying to find a wedge Cam (A118 looking like the only one so far) for this very reason.  I want it up behind the rear view mirror so it's discreet and blends in as much as possible

Looking at getting the mini 0806, has anyone got any opinions on this dash cam?
