Winter pack also includes heated seats.

The Discover sat nav(new one) has the option to add android play or Apple play.

Winter pack also includes heated seats.

Only if you get standard cloth seats but not if you get leather seats which include heaters as standard.

The headlight washers are not heated, only the windscreen washers are heated as part of the winter pack.

Keyless is only on 5 door cars. It's not available on 3 doors anymore.

Just wondering if anyone knows whether the now standard Keyless, Winter Pack and Discover Nav are also now standard on the R?

I'm looking at possibly upgrading to an R Wagon and thinking which extras I might need to add!

Don't think they are, which is frankly ridiculous!

No which is one of the things that put me off it.
They will probably come as standard on the run out model.

Is no keyless a UK thing only?

All pictures I have seen of the Clubsport (even latter Portugal Press Day ones) show Keyless (well at least a start button), unless this is only for the Clubsport?

Totally agree, why offer it on the GTI/D and not the top of the range R?

Because they need to keep the cost down from a car which is mechanically more expensive to start with?

Its only since last year that is was added as standard to the GTD/I though.

Agree and I suspect it has minimal effect on overall 'R' orders.

I think the gti got the extras to try and boost orders because there seem to be so few often on the roads compared to the R.

Keyless is a must for me now, I just love pressing that Start button
Hate the thought of ever having to turn a key again

Are the others all hiding in garages under sheets?

Golf R:

I couldn't find exactly which particular GTI label was the current one, but suspect the numbers are around 4-5 the amount.

You must just live in an area with a higher Top Gear magazine readership than the rest of the country.

I'd love to see the DVLA data available as county level statistics :)

I'm not sure you know, looking at the economies of scale of putting them on every car, I bet the increase in cost to VW is very minimal. They charge approx £1,500 for those options, I bet they cost VW less than £100 per car (only bits of trim and software changes really).

For a company who made 12.7bn EUR profit in 2014, I really don't think the increase in cost will have any impact.

I think looking at the website you have to add about half a dozen variants together to get the MK7 GTi figures basically any GTI with registrations and tax data from 2013 onwards, GTi TSI, GTI TSI S-A and GTI Launch god knows what they all are but  its down to what's on the V5 I think.

Don't you think that the number on the road is a personal thing. You just notice them more once you have one whatever it may be. I have always found myself saying things like "getting a new car next week, don't see many of those on the road" then two weeks after collection they seem to be everywhere. It must be a subconscious thing. There is a rather nice 15 plate R parked in a side street opposite my road, probably been there since first registered but I only noticed it after I picked up my GTi in November!
