Title: Radiator Fans Always on
Post by: willi1972 on 22 December 2015, 10:13
Hi,

New to forum, did a search on this problem, but can't seem to find soloution.

2.0 Mk4 Golf GTI W-reg - Both radiator fans are constantly running and draining battery. I have replaced the 'Coolant Temp Sensor' and the 'Fan Control Module' but problem still persists. At moment, I have taken to removing the fuse on the battery to stop the fans draining the battery all together. I have also checked the relevent cabin fuses to make sure non are blown / faulty, and I have checked fuse connectors on the bttery to make sure they are not corroded and all fuses are ok.

Not sure if this is a linked problem, but the A/C won't switch on.

Any help / ideas would be much appreciated.

Regards

Russell

Sounds like the faulty AC is forcing fans to come on.
Does it show any fault codes?
