Title: mk6 gti with DCC spring broken.
Post by: Dipesh2031 on 17 December 2015, 11:46
hi,

My gti has broken a rear spring, I've been advised to put in 2 new rears, but I have the adaptive chassis control, wondering if normal gti suspension springs will fit or do I need the DCC springs, as I love the ride quality and dont want the ride to change!

Thanks

They're different part numbers I believe so I'd be getting the DCC ones.

Do you need a part number? I've got ETKA so could look it up if you want

DCC springs are a little shorter than standard, but a bit longer than sport suspension ones.

You'll need to fit DCC ones if they need replacing.

turns out my mechanic put normal gti dsg springs, so now my rear sits higher, also have a horrible rattle coming from the front left, that spring might also be broken,( my car is from scotland, the suspension surface rust is alarming even at 50k)

might just buy VWR lowering springs! for that small 10-15mm drop and designed for DCC suspension. hopefully wont destroy ride quality
