Title: Headlights
Post by: titchy on 17 December 2015, 10:26
Hi there, new member here.

My GTi is on order and I've been reading the Golf MK7 forum for a while but moved over here since it's more UK specific.

Think I've gotten myself a bit confused with all the guys over there upgrading to 'Ed's replica lights' which have the U shaped LED daytime lights. Can someone advise whether these U shaped lights are standard on the UK spec GTi?

thanks

Yes they are.

The main difference will be that the GTI standard lights only light up the outer U within each headlight, whereas Ed's lights (I think) light up both U's within each headlight.

As said, the standard GTI daytime running lights only have left outer U lit up, unless they are replica lights as you mention.

Only the R comes with the double U daytime running lights as standard - as below:

So you'll have the outer U only on your GTI.  Still look great though.
