Title: Back in a Mk4
Post by: JWebb on 16 December 2015, 23:27
Hi All,

I was on here sometime ago with a mk4 2.0 GTi

I traded that in for a Mazda 3 diesel which was incredibly boring, I finally got back into a mk5 golf 2.0 fsi and just under a month ago a van drove into me and it was written off.

I spent ages trying to find something to replace it with and stumbled upon a 1.8t with FSH and 93k miles, it's on a 52 plate.

It's booked in to have the coilovers removed tomorrow as I'm sure they're seized and are incredibly stiff, I'm commuting up to 500 miles per week on mostly 'A' roads so need to find a balance between comfort and handling.

I've had to replace the washer fluid pump, temp sensor and the thermostat as they were playing up. I still have the bora vents from my old mk4 so these will be going in soon.

I've not got too much planned, I want to pop an OEM spoiler on, I'm considering S3 brake set up and I was planning on having my mk5 plasti dipped so this may happen!

I'm looking forward to getting back on here properly, here are the only two photos I've managed to get so far!
