Title: Wheel Bolts
Post by: Cossieian on 15 December 2015, 20:43
Guys I've order a set of BBS CH-R wheels for my car 8.5x19
My question is do I need to get new wheels bolts or would the existing ones from my Cadiz work ok??

Thanks
Ian

Read in the specs for wheels if they need cone or ball type wheel bolts.

Only BBS wheels marked with a VZ use OEM wheel bolts (excluding factory fit BBS wheels obviously).
BBS alloys come with their own bolts but not lockers.
OEM bolt covers generally won't fit in the holes either so you'll have to buy Audi or SEAT bolt caps.

BBS wheels usually come with their own reusable tyre valves too.

The seats are different mate, Standard have ball seats and the BBS have tapered.

Don't worry though, as the wheels you are getting should come with them.

Although no locking wheelnuts are supplied. I got a set of Skoda/SEAT/Audi nut covers for the new bolts as the standard covers don't fit. Also remember to buy a nut cover removal tool.

I'm trying to find locking wheel nuts to fit the locking nut covers so I can have locking wheel nuts again.
