Title: Brembo GT1 on Golf 5 GTI
Post by: DaneGti on 05 December 2015, 22:40
Hi all,
I have a Golf 5 GTI from 2008 - at the front I have a nice Brembo GT-1 break kit, 4 pistols with disk of 330mm (picture)

My problem is that I do not have any TUV document or certificate on this Brembo kit, people have told me that this kit is actually approved for a Golf 5. So to avoid problems with the authorities I would very much like to have such TUV document / certificate.

Just wondering, anyone in this forum has TUV / certificate on a Brembo GT1 kit for Golf 5 ?

I know its a bit of a specific question - just hoping someone can help anyway.

Have a nice weekend to all of you..

Looks like it:

http://www.brembo.com/en/Varie/BremboGTR_ApplicationList.pdf

So you should just be able to ask for a copy of the TUV certificate :)

Thanks for the pdf link - do you know how to request a TUV certificate ?

I mean, writing email to brembo.com gives me absolute nothing, those lasy Italian people :)

Maybe I should try contact TUV directly, hmm

Looks like other people have had the same problem with not getting an answer from Brembo.

http://www.amdtuning.com/ and http://www.awesomegti.com/ stock the kit and mention TUV, so they might be worth trying - all you need is a scan of the certificate that should be in the box!
