Hi all been offered a set of Porsche 996 rear callipers with every thing to fit a nk4 golf but my question is are they any good as asked one of my mates and he's said there not so wanting a second opinion cheers Ian

I read somewhere that they're not well matched to the mk4 golf master cylinder.

It's not the master cylinder that's the problem, it's the size of the pistons in the caliper itself. They are too small and actually exert less pressure than a standard single pot caliper!
