just had my battery  on my car checked and it needs anew one any ideas on what make I should go for cheers

It's just a battery. Bosch if you want to keep it German. Anything else if you don't care!

I was talking to eurocarparts today and they said an excide battery was the one t go for as they have had loads of bosch batterys back for replacement

that's only due to them making more money on selling the excide to you rather than bosch  :smiley:

I always tend to go for Bosch and never had a problem

What about Halford.
Their batteries have 3, 4 and 5 year warranty, pay more for heavy duty and get 5 years warranty.
I have been using them on all my cars, and they seem to be very good. No problems.
The heavy duty versions seem to crank the engine over better in the cold weather.
