Title: Under bonnet rattling noise during hard acceleration
Post by: Gnasher on 03 December 2015, 11:27
I'm sure I've seen this on here before but I must have inadequate searching skills as it doesn't feature in any search results.

Pulling away from the Tyne Tunnel toll booth yesterday, gave it a little bit of a bootfull in 2nd to filter into a gap slightly ahead and heard a quite load rattle from under the bonnet. It's not there during normal cruising etc.

It's obvious a trip to the dealer is in order, but prior to that, does anyone have any idea?

For reference, it's standard apart from a DTUK tuning box, GFB DV+, Pipercross induction kit and Milltek cat-back.

I might try returning it to standard (apart from the exhaust) to see if it disappears and also to ensure VW can't fob me off with the "It's your mods causing it." stuff they could come out with and see, but hopefully they can sort it out.
